The broader view of the programme looks at the collaboration between New Cinema Club and HTV. It discusses how HTV had previously transmitted six features originally introduced by the Club and that the Club was planning and preparing six programmes on independent, experimental production. Its aim was to get independent production out to a wider audience. The films on show this season included 'Ashes to Ashes' (George Hahn), 'Point of Dissent' (starring Vanessa Redgrave), 'The Great Chicago Conspiracy Circus' (Luscombe 1970), 'Ice' (Kramer 1970), Bo Widerberg's 'The Pram' (1963) and 'Love 65' (1965), 'Make A Face' (Sperling 1971), 'Tales' (Gerstein), 'Andy Makes a Movie' (Smith 1968), 'The Bookseller Who Gave Up Bathing' (Kulle 1969), 'Godard's British Sounds' (1969) and 'Pravda" (1970), a selection of films by American experimental filmmakers, 'The Tragic Diary of Zero the Fool' (Markson 1970), 'Trixi' (Dwoskin 1969) , 'Close to the Wind' (Olsson 1969), 'Futz' (O'Horgan 1969), 'Tar Babies' (Jodorowsky 1968), 'I am Curious Yellow' (Sjoman 1967), 'Diary of a Shinjuku Thief' (Ōshoma 1968), 'Action' (Baker), 'Warhol's Couch' (1964) and 'Lonesome Cowboys' (1968), and a selection of films depicting 'Acts of Love' .
