Diaries of the British fashion and portrait photographer, artist, writer and theatre and screen designer Cecil Beaton, with an introduction by Hugo Vickers. Beaton designed sets and costumes for My Fair Lady and Gigi, and the Broadway productions of Grass Harp, The Chalk Garden, Saratoga, Tenderloin and Coco. Beaton has photographed such stars and famous figures as Katharine Hepburn, Princess Margaret, Elizabeth Taylor, Marlene Dietrich and Bianca Jagger.
