Programme for the 6th German Film Festival from 28 November to 4 December 2003, organised by the Goethe-Institut and held at the Curzon (Soho, London). The opening gala was the UK Premiere of football film The Miracle of Bern, and the closing gala was The Family Jewels. There was a particular focus on the work of Fassbinder, with a retrospective of some of his work, as well as a documentary on him entitled Fassbinder in Hollywood. The festival included films on Turkish and Kurdish diasporic communities in Germany, including Ghettokids and A Little Bit of Freedom, as well as explorations of German family life in Big Girls Don't Cry and Karamuk. There were also new documentaries about the legacy of the Holocaust, From Dachau with Love, and homosexuality in Swabia, Talk Straight.
