Large,slipcased two-volume set, edited by Jurgen Muller, celebrating 100 movies made in the 20th century. The first volume covers 1915 to 1959 while the second volume covers 1960 to 2000. The films are presented in rough chronological order with a short essay introducing each decade. Several pages are devoted to each film, commenting on issues such as its plot, cast, production history, context, key scenes and signficance. Brief cast and crew lists are provided and there is an appendix listing Academy Award winners.
