This booklet is a programme for the 22nd edition of the International Documentary Film and Short Film Festival of Bilbao, which was held in December 1980. In its first section, the booklet which is written in Spanish summarises the history of the "Free Cinema", a documentary movement from the late fifties and early sixties. In the introduction, Robert Dunbar quotes Lindsay Anderson, one of the movement's creators, for clarifying when, how and why the "Free Cinema" was invented. In the following pages there is a synopsis of the principal films (listed below) that represent the Free Cinema and that were shown in the Festival of 1980. Films featured: 1.
