Black and white photograph of British film stars Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton. The image shows the married pair, dressed in fur coats and sunglasses, at Heathrow Airport in London. A press cutting attached to the reverse reads: "Elizabeth Taylor passing through Heathrow. / The Burtons put their travelling furs on yesterday to see them through a nippy day in London. / Richard Burton had a fur coat and Elizabeth Taylor a fur collar. / The dazzling thing about her, though, was her dress: Red Indian style. / Other passengers at Heathrow caught glimpses of it as she strode, coat open, towards passport control. / There was a time when their passports were handed in by someone else so they could go aboard unnoticed. / But not yesterday. / For Heathrow cracked down at the end of last year and insisted: "Film stars do not qualify for V.I.P. treatment. They must be treated like any other passengers." / Not that the Burtons travelled like most people. / They went privately by Falcon executive jet. / Said Burton, on his way from Switzerland to Los Angeles :- / "I don’t mind flying as long as it's in my own plane."
