Chapter on entertainment contains considerable information on the theatre, and on sport, less on music, art and spectacles such as panoramas (p. 122). Chapters on the Exhibition cover Prince Albert, creator of the Exhibition; its organisation and reception; a brief account of the material exhibited, with a brief mention of photography and picture reproduction (p.240). Illustrated with photgraphs and reproductions of 19C paintings.
