Starting with the first Warner Bros cartoons in the 1930s, this book lists every animated short title produced by the studio and denotes which were part of the Looney Tunes programme and which were of Merrie Melodies. Each entry consists of a brief summary of the short and with as complete of production details as possible. The book ends at 1988. Also included is an introduction explaining the project and the trajectory of the cartoons as the authors note that many of the shorts from the 1930s and 1940s are now deemed racist and/or sexist. What makes this book worthwhile to animation enthusiasts are the desciptions of each cartoon - many of which are no longer shown on television.
