19 page article by Ralph Hyde focusing on the 1820s fashion for myrioramas, an optical amusement that used packs of cards printed with views which could be arranged in differerent combinations to produce panoramic landscapes. The article was originally published in 'Print Quarterly' Vol. XXI No.4, 2004, pp.403-421and illustrated with eleven fine black and white pictures. A four page appendix lists myrioramas held in modern collections, drawn mainly from that of Jacqueline and Jonathan Gestetner.
