The Horseshoe Hotel on Tottenham Court Road (next to the Dominion Theatre) hosted the reception for the first viewing of Edison's kinetoscope in 1894 (see menu card EXE BD 76927). This photograph shows the hotel in the 1920s. The building was demolished in 2008.
