The item consists of a photocopy of a handbill. Advertising Arteumus Ward's 'Among the Mormons' a show featuring a panorama ' used to illustrate Mr. Wards narrative is rather worse than panoramas usually are.' Shown at the Egyptian Hall Piccadilly 1864. Under the handbill, printed in full on the second piece of paper, is another advertisement for 'Artemus Ward' Lecture at the Egyptian Hall, with the Panorama'. Complete with an illustration of MR Ward and reviews by popular newspapers. Included in this item is an illustration entitled 'Artemus Ward in his Entertainment at the Egyptian Hall'. The image shows Mr Ward with a stick pointing to part of what presumably the panorama. The last part of the item is a review in an unkown publication entitled 'Artemus Ward'. The review makes direct reference to the exhibition at the Egyptian hall. Important: Artemus Ward the comic panorama proprietor is referred to by his real name Charles Browne in Hyde's biographical list. Another example of slightly different handbill for the same show at the Egyptian hall can be found on page 203 of the book Artemus Ward's Panorama (My panorama Yours hooly A, Ward).
