Short novel aimed at young adults, following the progress of teenage actress in New Jersey, Lola Cep, who has decided on principle to limit her work to the theatre, but is tempted by a role in a Hollywood film due to rivalry with high school enemy and fellow drama student Carla Santini. The plot follows Lola and Carla's attempts to outdo each other both on and off the movie set.
