The book provides a critical account of the 1960s BBC television sitcom The Likely Lads and its 1970s sequel Whatever Happened to the Likely Lads?. This book explores the cultural influences of the eras on the television series, and examines issues of class and masculinity, alongside the show's place in British television and sitcom. Phil Wickham is Curator of the Bill Douglas Centre.
