Research concerning 'Panorama of Madras', painted by William Daniell and E.T Parris. Exhibited at Coromandel Place, New Road, London in 1831. Depicts scenes of Imperial India, original drawings for Coromandel Place done by Augustus Earle in 1829. Includes copies of articles from The Literary Gazette, and Journal of the Belles Letters 30th Oct 1830 (pg. 642-643, 707), handwritten notes and quotes from newspapers remarking on the unique panorama construction. Includes also a photocopied 'Panorama of Madras' guide (69530/5).
