Catalogue and book produced to accompany a touring exhibition based on Stanley Kubrick's archive. Produced by the Deutsches Filmmuseum in Frankfurt, the book features a number of essays on all aspects of the archive and Kubrick's life and each of his films, predominantly by German scholars. It includes research on Kubrick's early photographic work and unmade projects, such as 'Napoleon' and 'A.I' and is illustrated throughout with images from the archive. There are 'words of greeting' from Martin Scorsese and Kubrick's widow Christiane and a foreword by his producer, Jan Harlan. The book was first produced in 2004 but this 4th edition was published in 2019. Details of the venues hosting the touring edition throughout this period are listed.
