Richly illustrated booklet produced by the Bath Assembly Rooms & Museum of Costume, looking at the costumes worn in Jane Austen's time and how these have been recreated in screen adaptations of her novels. Sections look at Jane Austen's Bath, the question of authenticity, the work of a costume designer and provide detailed discussions and illustrations of men's and women's clothing in the early 19th century, as well as a look at the costumes used in numerous film and television adaptations. The booklet was produced to accompany an exhibition in Bath in 2004.
