A Prospect of Britain: Town Panoramas of Samuel and Nathaniel Buck is a book by Ralph Hyde. Every year, from 1728 to 1753, the brothers Samuel and Nathaniel Buck travelled the length and breadth of England and Wales, producing a series of panoramas. The book features a number of their panoramic views of cities and towns such as St Paul's Cathedral and London Bridge, and also surveys their lives and working methods, their techniques of advertising, engraving and selling their prospects, and also provides descriptions of each subject. Ralph Hyde's research folder 'A Prospect of Britain: Publicity & Reactions' contains a series of reviews, advertisements and letters pertaining to his book. Sources include the London Review of Books 22 Dec 1994, This England 1995, World of Interiors Jan 1995, Pavilion 'New Books', Financial Times, the Independent and the Newcastle Journal. There are also handwritten letters and postcards from Hyde's friends and peers, praising his book.
