Catalogue produced by Special Auction Services (SAS) for the sale on 7 July 2016 of fine photographica, including the Mike Simkin Magic Lantern Collection. The catalogue is illustrated in colour and B&W and contains over 750 items such as cameras (19th-20th centuries), optical toys, pre-cinema ephemera, the Arthur E Morton collection of early colour photographs. Among the Simkin material is the actual triunial magic lantern that featured in 'Comrades' (Bill Douglas, 1986.) In the rear of the catalogue are three loose sheets relating to SAS and the Friese-Greene Family Archive, including a handwritten note from Bill Barnes.
