Three published interviews with Jean-Luc Godard, from the magazines 'Cahiers du Cinema' (2000, 2001) and 'L'Equipe' (2001), translated from the original French, followed by 'J.A. Whistler's Ten o'clock', the famous 1885 lecture in which the artist addressed the purpose of modern art, its relationship with nature and the errors of art critics - themes which are considered, albeit indirectly, by Godard in the interviews. A filmography and bibliography are also provided, as well as a glossary of persons referred to in the text.
