Autobiography by Pete Postlethwaite (1946-2011), tracing his highly-acclaimed career on stage, film and television. Beginning with his childhood in Warrington and the importance of Liverpool for his acting career, the actor recounts how he concentrated on stage work through the 1970s before taking on more television roles and working on films such as Brassed Off, Inception, The Lost World: Jurassic Park and In the Name of the Father. The final chapter deals candidly with his reasons for writing his autobiography as he was treated for cancer; the book was finished by writer Andy Richardson following Postlethwaite's death.
