A collection of hand written notes on the life and career of Kay Kendall. By Terry Hallett. The collection of notes begins with a biography of the actress/model noting down the dates of significant events in her childhood, her relationship with her parents and siblings and time at school. The majority of the notes examine Kendall's acting career and draws on extensive research around the subject. Hallett brings in quotes from a variety of sources, both critical and biographical, however the text which features most heavily in his research appears to be - 'The Brief, Madcap Life of Kay Kendall' by Eve Golden. The notes contain a significant reference to 'My Roots Are In Heaven' an autobiography written my Marie Kendall (mother of Kay) and contains numerous quotes from co-starts who worked with Kendall over her career. Hallett includes a list of the awards and accolades Kendall receive throughout her career (which he places into chronological order) and includes information mon some of Kendall's lesser known film/rolls. There is a significant amount of material on Kendall's roll in 'Les Girls' and her relationship with actor/husband Rex Harrison.
