The Mammy is a 1999 American/Irish drama-comedy about a working class single mother who fights to support her seven children along with the support of her best friend. It was written by Brendan O'Carroll, whose book it was based on, and directed and produced by Anjelica Huston. It starred Huston, Marion O'Dwyer and Ray Winstone. It was not critically well-received in North America but received positive attention in Europe.
