A promotional postcard for the BFI's 'Rescue the Hitchcock 9' campaign which took place in 2012. The campaign aimed to raise money to restore the deteriorating prints of Alfred Hitchcock's films from the silent era: 'The Pleasure Garden', 'The Lodger: A Story of the London Fog', 'Downhill', 'Easy Virtue', 'The Ring', 'The Farmer's Wife', 'Champagne', 'The Manxman' and the silent version of 'Blackmail'. The front of the postcard features an image from 'Blackmail' as seen on a deteriorated reel of celluloid, alongside the caption 'Rescue the Hitchcock 9: Donate online now bfi.org.uk/saveafilm'. The rear side of the card features a very short overview of the campaign's ambitions.
