Produced by Jean-Baptiste Thoret, Bernard Marcade, Pierre Evil and Matthieu Orlean to accompany an exhibition by the Cinematheque Francaise from 15 October 2008 to 19 January 2009, this book contains a selection of Dennis Hopper's own photographs and paintings as well as photographs taken during his 50 year career as an actor, director and artist. Images include Hopper's photographs of Dean Stockwell and Martin Luther King, portraits of Hopper by Annie Leibowitz and Robert Mapplethorpe and avant-garde artwork from the 1960s as well as shots taken during the filming of "Easy Rider", "The Last Movie" and" Apocalypse Now." Essays include an extensive interview with Hopper.
