Original copy of the outer pages of the Daily Mirror for Saturday April 20th 1912, five days after the sinking of The Titanic. The front cover bears the headline "Bandsmen heroes of the sinking Titanic play 'Nearer, My God, to Thee!' as the liner goes down to her doom." and prints below - taking up the entire front page - the sheet music and lyrics for the hymn. Although the truth of this story has been challenged, it featured in the 1958 film "A Night to Remember." Useful for looking at news / media coverage and the remembrance of significant events.
