Large volume of photographs by George Hurrell, with a foreword by Tony Nourmand and an introduction by Phil Moad that traces Hurrell's career as a photographer. There are portraits of around 70 Hollywood stars, including Bette Davis, Gene Tierney, Ramon Novarro, Rita Hayworth and Veronica Lake, with short biographies of each subject provided in an appendix. All the photographs are from the collection of John Kobal, whose work in collecting and promoting Hollywood stills is duly acknowledged in the introductory texts.
