Two typed sheets promoting 'The Cinema of Comic Illusions', a performance tent that ran film screenings and installations in June/July 2003 in North London, engaging with the showmanship and visual techniques of George Albert Smith and other pioneers of pre-cinema and comedy. Through films, live performances and exhibits, the multimedia project tried to explore the idea of the absurd in comic cinema, allowing the public to experience optical illusions and electronic manipulation of sound in order to think more about how technology, magic and comedy interact. The project was the work of Dr David Furnham.
