Study by Jonathan Murray of the industrial, creative and critical development of Scottish film culture between 1990 and the early 2010s. The book also looks at the wider contexts in which Scottish film has grown during this period and relates them to the images of Scotland put on screen. Individual chapters focus on topics including Scottish-Scandinavian cinema, images of race and ethnicity and low-budget genre cinema.
