Small promotional booklet for 'Independence Days: new cinema from Kazakhstan' shown at various venues (including Exeter Picturehouse) in February/March 2003. The films screened were 'Three Brothers' (Serik Aprymov, 2000), 'Killer' (Darezhan Omirbaev, 1998), 'Abai' (Ardak Amirkulov, 1995), 'Biography of a Young Accordionist' (Satibaldy Narimbetov) and 'The Last Stop' (Serik Aprymov, 1989) plus a short film 'Two were riding a Motorcycle' (Serik Aprymov, 1986) and the booklet includes details with a still of each. There is also a very brief history of film making in Kazakhstan, before and after the country's independence from Russia.
