Collection of images and memories of director Roberto Rossellini, compiled by his daughter Isabella to celebrate what would have been her father's 100th birthday. The book contains accounts of the many sides of Roberto by Isabella, Roberto's wife Ingrid Bergman and by others close personally or professionally to Roberto, such as Federico Fellini, Francois Truffaut and Eric Rohmer, as well as Roberto's own thoughts on different aspects of film-making. The images include numerous family photos and stills from Roberto's movies 'Rome, Open City', 'Stromboli' and 'Germany Year Zero.' The book also includes the script and a dvd: 'My dad is 100 years old' - a 17 minute b&w film written and illustrated by Isabella Rossellini, directed by Guy Maddin and produced by Jody Shapiro. In the film, Isabella pretends to be various of her father's friends and colleagues.
