A photocopy of a satirical article in ILN which makes reference to panoramas and the vast quantity in which they were being produced in the early 1850's. The column, by Albert Smith, jokes that "In certain latitudes, stoves will raise the temperature to such a heat that the visitors will scarcely be able to breathe; and when a storm is represented, many hundred tons of water will be forced down through the perforated zinc ceiling upon the company". The article makes reference to upcoming panoramas including "Captain Cook's Voyage Round the World" which was shown at the Gallery of Illustration.
