A variety of sheet music for songs from the 1930 French film, 'Prix de Beauté' ('Miss Europe'). There are two separate booklets, both released by Éditions Salabert and containing sheet music for the song 'Je N’ai Qu’un Amour, C’est Toi!'. The larger of the two, distinguished by the use of red ink on the front cover rather than green, also contains sheet music for the songs ‘Sur une terrasse à Montparnasse’ and ‘Les yeux de ma maîtresse’. The film itself was directed by Augusto Genina and starred the American actress, Louise Brooks - this film being her first talkie (though both her dialogue and singing was dubbed) - and is about a beauty pageant queen in conflict with her jealous fiancé. The film is notably one of the first French films with sound. Composers include Wolfgang Zeller (who worked on the film) as well as Ph. Parés, G. Van Parys and C. Oberfeld. Lyricists include Jean Boyer, René Sylviano, Léo Leliévre, Henri Varna and F. Noziére. Both booklets depict Brooks on the front - her flapper qualities evident in her bobbed hairstyle and fashion. The reverse of both booklets include a list of other sheet music from famous talking films.
