Sheet music for 'Flower of France' (likely) from the 1925 French silent film adaptation of Victor Hugo's, 'Les Misérables'. The film, directed by Henri Fescourt and starring Gabriel Gabrio, is set amongst the turmoil of the French anti-monarchist Parisian revolutions of the 1800s. The front cover of the sheet music, produced by Worton David Ltd. (No. 81), includes a still from the film of many dead men amongst the barricades, as well as what appears to be a child, alive, in the centre of the picture. The reverse advertises other sheet music by the company Worton David Ltd. The composer is Wal Clifford, and the lyricist is Gene Rich.
