Lobby card for the 1967 American crime film, ‘Point Blank’. Directed by John Boorman, the film stars Lee Marvin, Angie Dickinson, Keenan Wynn and Carroll O’Connor. It is adapted from the 1963 crime noir pulp novel ‘The Hunter’ by Donald E. Westlake (Richard Stark), and revolves around the story of Marvin’s character, Walker, who seeks retribution for the betrayal he experiences at the beginning of the film. The lobby card shows a still from a scene at the beginning of the film, depicting Walker and his wife, Lynne (played by Sharon Acker) in a cell in Alcatraz. They are both lying on a bed, Acker laying over Marvin and holding his hand. Immediately after this, Walker is shot by his 'friend', Reese; the start of the chain-of-events that propel the narrative of this film. The bottom of the lobby card makes note of the title, the lead star, Lee Marvin, and the distributor, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer.
