Lobby card for the 1946 American drama, 'The Razor's Edge'. Directed by Edmund Goulding and starring Tyrone Power, Gene Tierney, John Payne, Herbert Marshall and Anne Baxtor, the film tells the story of Larry Darrell, an American pilot traumatized by his experiences in WWI, who sets off in search of some transcendent meaning of life. The film was based off of W. Somerset Maugham's 1944 novel of the same name and was distributed by 20th Century Fox. The still on the lobby card shows three characters sat in the back of a vehicle of some kind - probably a car - Power, as Darrell, sat in the middle, Tierney on the right and (possibly) Marshall on the left. Marshall portrayed the author, Maugham, who drifts in and out of the lives of the major characters in the story. The film was nominated for four Academy Awards, with Anne Baxter winning Best Actress in a Supporting Role. The bottom of the lobby card notes the stars, title, director, author, producer and screen writer. Townly has made similar notations on the reverse of the card.
