Collection of still photographs, compiled by Gabe Essoe and Ray Lee, from the 67 films made by Clark Gable between 'The painted desert' (1931) and 'The misfits (1960). Each basic entry includes black and white pictures, details of principal cast and crew, brief synopsis and a review while there are extended entries for 'It Happened One Night', 'Mutiny On The Bounty', 'San Francisco' and 'Gone With The Wind.'. There is also an illustrated introduction - 'Clark Gable: the legend and the man' - and a short foreword by Joan Crawford.
