Published by the London Stereoscopic and Photographic Company, this stereo card is just one of a series produced to accompany the International Exhibition of 1862 (or Great London Exposition). The exhibition building designed by Captain Francis Fowke was housed on 23 acres of land in South Kensington. The main facade along Cromwell Road was 1152 feet long and ornamented by two large crystal domes. This view is shown from the eastern dome looking down the nave and illustrates the various statues and art exhibits on show.
