Picturehouse Recommends programme for November and Decmeber 2015 and January 2016, Issue 39. The front cover features three unrecognisable stormtroopers from the shoulders up, from Star Wars: The Force Awakens. directed by J.J. Abrams, satrring Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Carrie Fisher, Harrison Ford, Oscar Isaac an Adam Driver among others. The programme features recommended films, which include stills, director, starring, release date, certificate, running time and a summary with some elemnts of reviewing. Films include Star Wars: The Force Awakens, He Named Me Malala by Davis Guggenheim, Carol by Tod Haynes, In The Heart of the Sea by Ron Howard, Black Mass by Scott Cooper, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2, Brooklyn by John Crowley, The Revenant by Alejandro González Iñárritu, Room by Lenny Abrahamson, Trumbo by Jay Roach, The Lady in the Van by Nicholas Hytner, Bridge of Spies by Steven Spielberg, Youth by Paolo Sorrentino, Joy by David O. Russell, and Spotlight by Tom McCarthy. The programme also promotes their Christmas at Picturehouse and Discover Tuesdays' programmes, along with the Bolshoi Ballet 2015/216 season and Kenneth Brannagh's The Winter's Tale as the first in a trio of plays directed by him to be screened live nationwide (the two latter ones are part of Screen Arts, whose screening shcedule is also featured in the programme). There is also info on "Italian Job", a guided screening of Florence and The Uffizi Gallery on December. Finally, the programme announces the new Crouch End Picturehouse, London is almost completed and offers an insight of what to expect when its doors open. Food, coffee, and wine at the Picturehouse are referenced to promote the cinemas nationally.
