'British Films' first day cover, published 8 October 1985, commemorating the 150th anniversary of Fox Talbot's development of the negative/positive photographic process. Consists of an envelope with five stamps of film personalities - Alfred Hitchcock, Vivien Leigh, Charlie Chaplin, David Niven and Peter Sellers - on the front above a drawing of a movie camera. Inside is a card giving brief details of the British film industry. The envelope also bears the signature of actor Christopher Lee and contains a letter, dated 30 March 2001, from Anthony Attard to Lee, praising the latter's work and asking for the signature.
