Two 'Doctor Who' first day covers, both signed by Tom Baker, the fourth actor to play the iconic role. One cover carries an image of Baker as The Doctor with the Tardis, shown in front of The Stamp Centre premises in The Strand, London, which produced both covers. This envelope is also marked 'Doctor Who Appreciation Society' and there are four Millennium 1999 stamps commemorating musician Freddie Mercury, England's 1966 World Cup victory, Doctor Who's deadly enemies the Daleks and film star Charlie Chaplin. This envelope is marked Number 205 of 1000. The other envelope shows the Tardis travelling through space and has a single stamp with a Dalek. On the reverse of both envelopes is some background information on the Doctor Who TV series, the Doctor Who logo and a Cyberman, another of The Doctor's most formidable opponents, and inside both is a newspaper clipping of Tom Baker at the launch of an autograph gallery at The Strand Stamp Centre, London.
