This newsletter from 1957 includes a questionnaire for BFI members concerning cinema-going habits. Included are several pamphlets. One advertises a programme of films based on the work of Guy De Maupassant, however, another insert declares that permission to show ‘Une Parte De Campagne’ was refused by the distributor and alterations are made to the programme. On the reverse, a programme of films that pay tribute to Humphrey Bogart is also advertised, including ‘The Big Sleep’, ‘Casablanca’ and ‘The Petrified Forest’. Also included is a pamphlet advertising the International Animated Film Festival in London, 1957. Films included in this programme are those such as ‘Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs’, ‘Dumbo’, ‘Animal Farm’ and ‘Song of the South’.
