We are very pleased to show you our new student film, which is a guide to using the museum's collections for historians. Museum volunteer and MA History student Emily Vine uses our many and varied items around the First Word War as a case study on how moving image artefacts can illuminate any study of the past. Examples are a Moy-Bastie camera used on the battlefields by photographer J.B McDowell, lanterns slides, stereoscope cards, programmes and fan magazines. This accompanies Emily's written resource for history students from 2013.
The film was made by 2nd year undergraduates Josie Taylor and Tabs Baker. Many thanks to all involved and we hope you enjoy the film.
