We have a new exhibition in the foyer of the Old Library marking the centenary of the start of World War One. This features a large number of items from the museum collection as well as material from the University's Special Collections. Museum artefacts on display include magazines, programmes and press books from the war period as well as stereocards and lantern slides (including the set pictured). There are also items from film interpretations of the Great War in subsequent years from 'Dawn' and 'Wings' in the '20s; 'All Quiet on the Western Front' in 1930; to 'Mata Hari', 'Aces High' and 'Oh! What a Lovely War!'. We also feature Joe Sacco's recent panorama of the war.

The exhibition will be up until the end of the year and can be accessed every week day until 8 and every weekend until 5.
