Issue 5 of volume 1 of Starburst Sci-Fi fan magazine from December 1978. There are several features in this issue on a variety of Sci-Fi and fantasy Film and TV productions. One article in this issue is a feature on the 1978 Superman movie. The article is written by David Castell who was the editor of Films Illustrated. Also, there is a piece focused on George Lucas and Steven Spielberg. Both Directors were two of the biggest filmmakers working in Hollywood in the late 1970s. This feature highlights that success. In addition to these articles, there is an interview with special effects artist Douglas Trumball. Trumball is known for his special effects work on 2001: A Space Odyssey and Close Encounters of the Third Kind. In the interview, he talks about his early career.
