Set of four 'The Dam Busters' commemorative covers, issued on the occasion of a memorial service for Air Marshal Sir Harold Martin on 4 January 1989. Martin was regarded as the greatest exponent of low-flying in the RAF at the time of the Dambuster raid and each of the covers contains his 4 November 1988 obituary notice from The Times. The four covers also carry a picture of Martin, a still from the film and are signed, one by Richard Todd who played Wing Commander Guy Gibson in the film, others by men involved in the mission or the 617 Squadron Association.
