Bill Peet had worked for the Walt Disney Studios where he worked his way to become the top writer-illustrator. Peet worked on such films as 'Dumbo', 'Fantasia', 'Cinderella', 'Alice in Wonderland', and 'Peter Pan'. While at Disney, Peet began to write children's stories. In a unique twist to the autobiography, Peet presents his life story through the medium of children's literature with illustrations throughout.
