19th Century Peepshow of the Norman crypt at Lastingham Church, North Yorkshire. A donation from the MOMI collection, the exact origins are unknown. There is a homemade quality to the box e.g. the base is lined with newspaper. Above the peep hole is a label: "The Crypt, Lastingham Church." Inside is a view of the crypt, lit by small cut out windows.
