Velvet Revolution 1989-2009 was a season events organised by the Czech Centre commemorating the 20th Anniversary of the Velvet Revolution in Czechoslovakia. Events run from 2nd November 2009 to 29 November 2009. which included exhibitions, a section devoted to "The Best of Czech Cinema" (part of the 13th annual Czech film festival), and screenings of documentaries, newsreels and discussions. Films inlude The Karamazovs by Petr Zelenka, The Country Teacher by Bohdan Sláma (UK premiere), Czech Dream by Vít Klusák and Filip Remunda, Prefabstory by Věra Chytilová, and the world premiere of Heroes Like Us by Thomas Brussig. The leaflet includes venues and box office information, admission price, dates and screening times, and a small summary of each event and/or film (the names of directors are exclusively stated in feature films).
