The first part of the item a photocopy of a handbill advertising 'Most beautiful Scenery of Ireland' panoramas painted Philip Phillips. The show was to be held at the Apollonicon Rooms on St Martin's lane between the 25th of November and the 7th of December. Particular screens included Cork Harbour and The Cove of Cork. The second part of the item is a photocopy of pages 201 and 209 of The Arts Journal vol. 12 1850. Both texts refer to Phillips' show as the diorama or Panorama or the Queen's visit to Ireland and the new interest of the public in Ireland due to her visit in 1849. The article on page 209 specifies that the subject of the text is the show at Phillips' Chinese Gallery. The third part of the item is a very very small advertisement from the the Illustrated London News. It also advertises the Ireland panorama show and specifies the Chinese theatre as the location. Published in March 1850. The fourth part of the item is a brief handwritten note by Ralph Hyde.
