Screenplay titled "It's That Man Again" from July 1942 by Howard Irving Young and Ted Kavanaugh based on the original story by Howard Irving Young. It's That Man Again (commonly contracted to ITMA) was a BBC radio comedy programme which ran for twelve series from 1939 to 1949. The programmes were written by Ted Kavanagh and produced by Francis Worsley. It seems Kavanagh and Irving Young worked together to adapt this radio show into a film. Irving Young (1893 – 1952) was an American screenwriter and playwright.[1] During the 1930s and 1940s he worked on a number of British films. Kavanagh was a British radio scriptwriter and producer. The British comedy film was produced in February 1943 directed by Walter Forde and starring Tommy Handley, Greta Gynt and Jack Train. The film follows the disreputable mayor of small town Foaming-at-the-Mouth gambles the civic accounts and wins a bombed out local theatre. He steals the rights to a new play which he stages in an attempt to save the financial situation. However, local drama students he has cheated turn up and try to ruin the show. It has become characterised as a war time comedy.
